PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

Dear Colleagues:

Happy Valentine's Day!

I hope that many of you are planning to attend the February meeting. I have one request: please

remember to call in your reservation to Bellin College at the number listed. The past few months, only two or three people have phoned in, but many more people attend the dinner and meeting. That is great! However, I am not good at guessing how many of our members will be attending (actually, I am because I have only been off by one or two people, but it is very hard on the nerves!!).

We are hoping to select a community service project at the next meeting, so please plan to attend. I also have member directories to distribute if you have not yet received yours.

The Nominating Committee will be calling soon to recruit officers and Board members for next year. Please give careful consideration to becoming more active in WNA and in your District. It is a great way to network and meet new people.

Nominations for our district "Nurse of the Year" are being accepted. Please take a moment to nominate someone who is a role model for nurses and an advocate for the patient. Barb Bauer and Leona Waraksa are again graciously co-chairing this endeavor.

See you soon!

Katie Dykes
