PRNText Box: Text Box:           Presidents Message   Dear Fellow Nursing Colleagues,    It is with great regret that I inform you that there will be not be an organized event to celebrate Nurses Day this year sponsored by NEWDNA. There has been little interest in vocalizing ideas for a Nurses Day celebration and only a few people volunteered to help put together an event. I take personal responsibility and admit that I do not have the experience to adequate prepare and plan an event such as Nurses Day. What I have learned is that we, as nurses, need to collaborate to create an event that celebrates the profession of nursing for the future.    Please keep in mind and express your thoughts and ideas to me for Nurses Day 2007. I plan to start organizing a committee for next year’s Nurses Day sometime in September 2006. Please contact me if you are interested in being involved with this event.
