Notes from “Unofficial” Membership Meeting

9-19-06

Attendance: Barb Bauer, Judy Friederichs, Bonnie Groessl, Sharon McNulty, Carol Morris.

1. Informal meeting was called by Sharon McNulty. It was noted that this is not an official meeting, since a quorum was not present )6 members plus one officer is needed by bylaws).

2. Treasurer’s Report

No report.

3. Committee Reports

a.                   Bylaws:

o       Committee needs to meet to work on position descriptions to compatible

with the revised bylaws.

o       Carol, Bonnie, and Judy will meet to draft  these changes.

b.                  Legislative:

o       Next Legislative Breakfast is scheduled on Dec. 4 at 7:30, Midway Hotel. Committee will be meeting on September 26, 5 PM, tentatively at Tucson’s Restaurant, Green Bay.

                  b.         Membership

o       Updated membership info is needed (last update was June). Judy will contact Sue Carter re this on behalf of the membership committee, Sharon, and the PRN.

                  b.         Nominating

o       3 members are needed for this committee

      c.         PRN

o       Goal is to get next issue out approximately 3 weeks early. It means getting the President’s Letter and any other info (program, etc) by the end of the week.

      d.         Program:

o       October meeting will feature Bonnie Groessl as speaker on “Energy Medicine 101”. The location will be the Nightingale; directions were provided for the PRN. Bonnie will send a summary description of her program to Judy by the end of the week

o       Confirmations of speakers/ topics for the March and April meetings are still outstanding.

4.      Sharon pointed out that at the WNA Convention this year at the Paper Valley (Oct.19-21, the fundraiser will be the Nurses Foundation; thus, there will be no restrictions on corporate donations.

5. Next general membership meeting will be on November 21 at Patrick’s.
