NORTHEAST WISCONSIN DISTRICT NURSES ASSOCIATION

Attendance: Brenda Tyczkowski, Karen Mielke, Carol Morris, Katie Dykes, Barbara Bauer, Sharon McNulty, Helen Smits, Judy Friederichs.

 

  1. Meeting was called to order by President, Sharon McNulty. A quorum was determined to be reached.

 

  1. Minutes were circulated, but were unofficial due to the lack of quorum at the September meeting.

 

  1. Treasurer’s Report

 

As of 11/01/06----Balance in savings: $4,151. 37; balance in checking: $1,842.30

Report approved by consensus.

 

4.       Committee Reports

 

a.       Awards: Not active till after Jan.1.

b.       Bylaws: No activity at this time.

c.       Legislation: A breakfast is being planned for Dec. 4 at the Midway at 7:30 AM.

d.       Membership: it is unclear who is chair of this committee. This will be checked out.

e.       Nominating: Need to update names for this committee.

f.        Nurses Day: Carol and Brenda are in charge of this event. Bonnie is the speaker. Brenda will call Bonnie re arrangements.

g.       Program: next month the program is on Naturopathy; presenter is Dr. Benhke.

 

5.       Old Business

 

a.       Location of Future Meetings

It was decided that in the spring meetings will be held at the four hospitals if possible, and the Angeles retirement facility (latter is where long time member Leona Waraksa now lives). Assignment: Jan. (St. Mary’s)-Brenda Tyczkowski; Feb (Bellin)-Carol Morris; Mar (St. Vincent)-Judy Friederichs; April (Angeles)-Barb Bauer; and May (Aurora Baycare)- Helen Smits. Nurses Day event will be held at the Womens Place.

7.       Adjournment/ Next Meeting

 

Next meeting is tentatively planned at St. Mary’s Hospital on January 16. Program will begin at 6:30 PM.
