Report From The President: Bonnie Groessl

  1. Minutes from the August 21, 2003 WNA District President Conference Call were handed out.
  2. The meeting at the Eagle’s Nest would be more comfortable if there were fewer disturbances. It is sometimes difficult to hear speakers when the meetings are in the dining public area. Bonnie has talked to "Perry" and requested that the NEWDNA be given the back room for future meetings.
  3. The membership should be reminded to make reservations for meetings that they plan to attend.
  4. Bonnie is unable to attend the WNA Convention and may not make the President’s meeting. Arrangements will be made with either Katie Dykes or Carol Morris to sub for Bonnie.
  5. Some of the NEWDNA committees could use more help. This will be brought to the attention of the general membership at the meeting.
  6. Future meetings will be run on a tighter schedule in order to make attending easier on the membership. In order to be able to limit the meetings to one hour or less:
bulletBoard members will receive information on issues per e-mail.
bulletCommittee reports will be given at the general membership meetings only.
bulletThe Board meetings will be limited to agenda items which will involve Action Items.
bulletAn exception will be the October meeting because of the special program.

NEW BUSINESS:

A motion was made by Pam to shorten the Board meetings to one-half hour. The motion was seconded by Judy. After a brief discussion, the motion was passed unanimously by the Board.

A photo was taken of the present Board for use on the Web site.

Next BOD Meeting: October 21, 2003 at 1930 after the Dinner Program at Stone Harbor, Sturgeon Bay..
