Minutes: The reading of the minutes from March 16,2004 meeting was deferred.

Treasurer’s Report: deferred.

Update of BOD and committee list: The contact information for BOD members was reviewed. Carol will make changes and send revised copy to BOD members. This will also be posted on the website. The group present reviewed committee assignments and made the following suggestions:

1. Add member(s) to the finance committee. Connie Korger volunteered to participate on this committee.
2. Membership Committee chair will be a function of the Past President. Bonnie Groessl will chair for 2004-2005. Donna VanRoy agreed to participate. Additional members will be sought at the September general membership meeting.
3. Add committee or editorial board for the PRN Newsletter. Judy Friederichs will continue to chair. Terri Vandenhouten volunteered to participate. Will solicit others at next general membership meeting.

2004-2005 Program Schedule: Julie Zeeman is working on the schedule, this will be brought to the September general memebership meeting, as she was not able to attend the BOD meeting. We are in the process of confirming speakers. Our October program will be on Financial Health for Nurses. Terri VandenHouten had secured a speaker and the site is TBA.

Position descriptions: Carol distributed the existing position descriptions which need to be updated. The BOD members present reviewed the current documents and assigned the following individuals to review and recommend changes to the BOD.

Connie Korger: Donation policy

Tracey Slater: Filling vacant office procedure

It was decided to delete the position description for District Delegate to WNA Convention

WINPAC Representative: A representative is needed for WINPAC, Carol will check with Jane Muhl.

Unity Night and Nurses Day Celebration 2005: Carol gave some history on Unity Night and what happened last year. Apparently, all monies were returned to the donating organizations rather than sent to NEWDNA to be placed in an account for Unity Night 2005 as previously agreed upon by Pam Younk and Bonnie Groessl. A suggestion was made to combine Unity Night and the Nurses Day celebration this year in an effort to pool resources and achieve better attendance for both. This will be brought to the general membership meeting in September. Bonnie will contact Kathy Altergott to give her a heads up that we will be discussing this.

Community Service Project: Carol gave some history on community service projects we have done in the past and the group discussed doing something again this year, as we did not do one last year. This will be presented for a discussion and possible vote at the September general membership meeting.

WNA Convention Silent Auction: There will be a silent auction for the Nurses Foundation of WI this year at the WNA convention. Carol will contact Sharon McNulty as she has organized the donations in the past. This will be on the September general membership agenda as well.

With no other business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 1900.
