Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 1725 by President Bonnie Groessl.
Minutes: The minutes of October 21, 2003 were approved as written.
Treasurer’s Report: The Treasurer’s Report of 11-01-03 to 12-31-03 was approved as written.
Region #3 Report: No report.
Committee Reports (Updates Only):
PROGRAM: No report.
FINANCE: Budget requests for 2004-2005 will be completed in February, 2004. Board of Directors will review it in March, 2004. General membership will review it in April, 2004.
LEGISLATIVE: No report.
WINPAC: No report.
MEMBERSHIP: Pam Page had called the 6 members who dropped their membership. To date she has had no response to her phone calls.
PUBLICITY: No report.
NOMINATIONS: No report.
BYLAWS: No report.
AWARDS: No report.
NURSES DAY: No report.
Old Business:
Bylaws Review: Bonnie Groessl requested volunteers to review the Bylaws. Currently Carol Morris, Judy Freiderichs, and Bonnie Groessl have volunteered.
New Business:
Region#3 Representative Report:
Sharon Harder, Region #3 Representative, updated members on the following events:
1. Day at the Capitol is scheduled for March 2, 2004 in Madison.
WNA/WINPAC Attendance at Meetings: Bonnie Groessl was approached by WNA regarding the WINPAC skit. Members were not interested at this time. The program and meeting schedule is set for the year.
WNA has a recruitment video that the District could borrow. Possible used for this video were Unity Night, General Membership Meetings, or at the WSNA Convention.
WNA is looking for local members interested in being in the recruitment video.
WSNA Convention: WNA has asked Bonnie Groessl to cover the booth at the WSNA Convention at the Radisson in Green Bay on January 31, 2004. Carol Morris will assist Bonnie for part of the time.
Shared Meetings: Lakeshore District has disbanded. Lynn Green has approached Bonnie Groessl regarding combined educational programs around meetings of Sigma Theta Tau, the Nurse Practitioner Group and NEWDNA. We may be able to secure speakers and dinners sponsored by various pharmaceutical representatives.
Unity Night: Unity Night is scheduled for April 8, 2004 at Aurora Hospital. Members expressed concerns that this is Holy Thursday. Bonnie Groessl will share this with Pam Younk.
Next BOD Meeting: March 16, 2004 at 1715 at the Eagles Nest, Green Bay.
